Dr Prashar is the principal dentist and owner of The Smile Clinic in Colchester.  He established The Smile Clinic over 35 years ago with the aim of bringing high-quality cosmetic dentistry to Colchester.

He has additional post graduate qualifications in Dental Implants, and Orthodontics which allows him to use these specialities to produce perfect life changing dentistry for his patients.

Renowned for his commitment to excellence as well as using digital dentistry, Dr Prashar provides private dental care exclusively, tailoring treatments to meet the unique needs and aspirations of his patients. He now only works on a referral basis carrying out implants and aligner treatments.

His extensive expertise and dedication have established him as a trusted name in the field of cosmetic dentistry, helping countless patients achieve radiant, confident smiles.

Outside of dentistry, Dr Prashar is an avid sports enthusiast. He enjoys playing tennis and golf during his leisure time and is a passionate supporter of Arsenal, holding a season ticket to cheer on his favourite team. Dr Dhruv Shah

Dr Dhruv Shah qualified from Manchester Dental School in 2011. He spent a year gaining hands-on training in the fields of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Orthodontics. Since then, he has been working in Colchester treating patients in Essex and London.

Dhruv is interested in all aspects of dentistry, particularly minimally invasive aesthetic and restorative work to achieve tooth-like results. Having undergone additional training in Smile Design, tooth whitening and various aspects of soft tissue (gum) surgery, orthodontics, restorative dentistry and composite bonding, he is happy to discuss with you any concerns you may have regarding your smile.

Dr Shah particularly enjoys combining orthodontics with other cosmetic treatments such as tooth whitening, composite bonding and veneers. He takes pride in his ability to create a bespoke smile for every single patient he has seen.

With over 12 years experience, Dr Shah’s special interests are:

·       Orthodontics including clear aligner treatment

·       Porcelain veneers and crowns

·       Tooth wear

·       Advanced root canal treatment

·       Minor oral surgery including the extraction of impacted wisdom teeth

Outside of dentistry, he is a regular member of a gym and a keen swimmer, having previously competed at county and national level. He particularly enjoys cooking in his spare time and spending time with family. Having travelled to countries across the world, Dhruv is always interested to learn about new cultures and landscapes.

Dr Nour Diabi

Dr Diabi is a highly skilled dentist with good foundation in cosmetic and restorative dentistry. He earned his Doctorate in Dental Medicine from the University of Szeged in 2018 and has since committed himself to continuous professional growth. Dr Diabi is currently completing a certificate in Advanced Aesthetic Restorative Dentistry in London, a program that focuses on the advanced techniques in smile design and cosmetic treatments. He is also embarking on a postgraduate certificate in Implant Dentistry with the London College of Oral Implantology, enhancing his ability to deliver the latest in modern dental care.

As a certified clear aligner provider, Dr Diabi combines his expertise in teeth alignment with treatments such as professional teeth whitening, cosmetic bonding, and both porcelain and composite restorations to craft personalized, beautiful, and healthy smiles for every patient. His meticulous attention to detail and patient-focused approach ensure he takes the time to understand the unique needs of each individual, achieving outstanding results.

Dr Diabi is well travelled and speaks fluent French, English as well as Arabic making him an invaluable resource and very popular with our Saudi student patients and their families. In his spare time, he enjoys a variety of sports, travelling and spending time with his family.’
