To become fully NHS registered with our practice, you must attend an NHS dental examination. Please note that even if we have your details on file or you have an appointment booked for the future, you are not officially registered with us until that first examination has taken place.
NHS patients who have not attended a dental examination within the past two years will be automatically removed from our register. Please note that it is the patient’s responsibility to keep up with routine check-ups, and we are not required to provide reminders or notify patients once they have been removed from our list.
If you have been removed, you may be able to re-register as a new patient, subject to availability and whether we are currently accepting new NHS patients at that time.
If you fail to attend 2 appointments in the space of 1 year or if you fail to attend your registration appointment, you will be removed from our register and you will not be able to re-register / rebook.
Please note that short-notice cancellations for private appointments may incur a charge of up to 50% of the appointment fee. If you miss a private appointment without notice, a ‘Fail to Attend’ fee will apply, this also includes if you are later than 10 minutes to the appointment. Should you wish to rebook, the outstanding balance will need to be paid in advance.
Emergency appointments are intended for assessment and advice, and a standard fee applies. If possible, temporary treatment may be provided during the appointment to relieve the pain at an additional cost. Any permanent treatment will need to be scheduled separately and will incur a separate charge.
We require payment in full for all NHS treatments and private appointments, this will be taken on booking.
Our practice follows the NHS guidance concerning Zero Tolerance. A patient that uses any form of abuse, aggression or threatens our staff will be automatically removed from the register.
